What happens when you browse
Reading an article on this site does not require an account. There are no application forms, payment screens, or newsletter subscriptions. The FAQ search runs in your browser, filtering the questions already on the page without sending search text to a search provider.
Like any hosted website, page delivery involves technical requests to a server. The hosting infrastructure may process an IP address, request time, browser information, and similar technical details for delivery and security.
A small preference on your device
The privacy notice stores your response in local storage. That is a small browser-managed entry containing the choice, the time it was saved, and the notice version. Its purpose is to avoid repeating the same notice every time you navigate.
The site honors that choice for up to 180 days. The stored entry remains until replaced or removed through your browser settings. It is not an advertising identifier and is not automatically attached to requests to the server.
What the buttons mean
“Necessary only” and “Got it” both close the privacy notice and save your response. Neither enables optional tracking. There are no analytics or advertising services installed in this site.
“Manage preferences” explains the storage in more detail. You can reopen that dialog using the footer of any page. There are no optional categories to turn on or off because this site does not use them.
Clear your choice at any time
Your browser’s settings usually include controls for cookies and site data. Removing site data for this domain removes the saved preference. The notice then appears on a subsequent visit.
If your browser prevents storage, the pages remain readable. You may see the notice more often because your preference cannot be remembered between pages or visits.
Know when you leave the site
This site uses ordinary links to external resources instead of embedded maps, video players, or social widgets. Those destinations load when you choose to visit them and may have different information practices.
For the fuller explanation, read the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. They describe this website, while an external service’s own policies apply to that service.
